Training
Workforce training is a major issue for federal
agencies and related policy-makers such as the Institute of Medicine
and the Annapolis Coalition. The Center has a strong interest
in addressing issues affecting clinical supervision, entry-level
employment, and training (including continuing education). Clinical
social workers need to be aware of and to make use of the best
methodologies available in order to provide the highest level
of care to those in need. Through its ABE unit, the Center has
developed or is developing position statements on several practice
topics (Professional Development and Practice Competencies, Psychoanalysis,
Clinical Supervision, and Practice with Children & Their Families.
